My son _loves_ trains so I purchased this puzzle. The colors in this puzzle were very muted and similar making it hard for my 6 year old to complete the puzzle. The Melissa & Doug 0200 pc Safari Adventure Cardboard Jigsaw was more fun to do as it was easier to find matches to the pieces. We don't do many puzzles, perhaps if you were proficient with them the colors all being the same wouldn't have made as much as a difference.
