We have fun putting these puzzles together with our grandsons. They're a little tough for the 3 year old, but he'll get the hang of it before long. They're nice and thick material, so if we don't lose the pieces, they'll last a long time. We highly recommend them.


My 4-year-old son got this puzzle as a gift, and he loves it. He likes it as a take-along activity (anywhere the floor is clean enough to play), and even took it to his daycare for show-and-tell. His cousin (age 4) looks for it when he comes over, so I bought him this and another Melissa and Doug puzzle. These are high-quality, sturdy puzzles - the best I've seen.


I purchased this for my grandson who is about to turn 3. He loves both dinosaurs and puzzles and has frequently put together the fire truck puzzle from the same company. This one has twice the pieces and has more subtle colors. He quickly grasped on his own that he should start with the head because it had pieces that were more identifiable. Although he (and I) gave up after a short try, he came back to it again a day later and, with the help of his father, put it together in a relatively short time. From that point on, he has put it together by himself almost every day and loves doing it.


The Melissa and Doug puzzles are wonderful. They're so durable that they will last for many years (perhaps generations!). Kids love the big puzzles; they are easier and more fun than puzzles with tiny pieces. They especially love shaped puzzles like this one - it's somehow more fun to put together a puzzle that's in the shape of a dinosaur than one that just has dinosaurs in the background. This is a gender-neutral toy, because boys and girls alike love dinosaurs. The price is reasonable, too; where else can you find a toy that's fun and challenging for $10? You might want to buy several - they make great birthday gifts!


My 5 year old dinosaur fan and I have load of fun with these melissa and doug floor puzzles. We just plop ourselves on the kitchen floor and go to town.
His hand / eye coordination has improved from the puzzle as well.. All thumbs up.


Another great product from Melissa and Doug! My 2 1/2 year old loves dinosaurs and loves puzzles. He loves this puzzle. When we first got it, I called it "the tricky dinosaur puzzle" because of the shape of it and it took us awhile to figure it out. Now he always says "Mommy, I want to do the tricky dinosaur puzzle". LOL He can't do this one by himself yet, but we have fun doing it together! Another great purchase!


My 34 month old is obsessed with dinosaurs and has enjoyed doing puzzles so we gave him this puzzle for Christmas. The pieces are large and very sturdy which makes them good for little hands. We have bought several Melissa and Doug puzzles and they are all very high quality, we've been pleased with every one. My son enjoys doing this T-Rex puzzle and as a parent, if you don't look at the picture to help you out at all, this one is even a bit challenging the first time.


My son got it from "SANTA" and he loves it. He is 3,5 years old. He asked for help at firts but he puted together today byhimself. he got more puzzles but he loved it best. And this one was the hardest.


we purchased it in 2003 and our son is now 6 - he still loves to do it! it's very well-made (as are all of Melissa & Doug's puzzles and toys) and the colors are bright. the fun part about this particular T-Rex is that he's not rectangular, so there's an additional challenge to putting him together. we love him!


This puzzle is probably 2 x 3 feet when completed. When our 5 year old wants to do a puzzle he usually picks this one, but our 3 year old puts it together a couple times EVERY day. This puzzle is extremely durable, not just with our 3 year old playing with it every day, but also with our infant crawling over and chewing on the pieces. After much abuse over the past year, this puzzle still looks brand new! It's challenging enough for both of the older kids to hold their attention until it's done, but not so difficult that they need help. I've been so impressed with how this puzzle holds their interest and is so durable, Santa will definitely be bringing another Melissa and Doug floor puzzle this Christmas! If your child loves dinosaurs, this puzzle is a must.
