We purchased this for our daughter for Christmas. It worked great for a few weeks and then started having some problems locking up and erasing the memory card. I sent it back to SanDisk for replacement. I was just told today that they no longer manufacture this product. They have offered me an M240 instead.


THIS MP3 PLAYER IS THE PERFECT THING FOR A CHILD WANTING AN MP3 PLAYER. IT IS EASILY FUNCTIONAL BY A CHILD AND IT'S GREAT.


My mom is technology challenged. This is a very easy mp3 player to use for her. It has some other features that I did not expected, I guess I needed to do more reading... It has an external speaker and two entrances for two sets of headphones. She loves it!


This is a great item. I bought this for my 32-month-old boy and he loves it! Although the package said this was designed for kids 8+, my little one has not problem to use it at all. I put all the sogns my boy loves in the MP3 player. He loves it so much and literatelly carries it with him to everywhere all day long.


Bought this for my 4 yr old who loves music.

I know the age range states 8 and above (I think), but there is really nothing else for younger kids that is not proprietary that I have seen. I looked into the Fischer Price FP3 player but I wanted the ease of just adding and deleting the music in a traditional way (like a flash drive).

The only disadvantage to buying for someone her age is the earplugs don't fit, so I am buying some of the Leapfrog Earphones for kids for her (around $12).

OTOH, she doesn't want to use the headphones as she loves to just turn it on and use the speaker (great idea!). Also, I have never seen her shake, skip or change the volume on the unit, so not sure if she just doesn't want to, or can't remember how (I showed her a couple of times, and taught her how to turn it off).

In any case, the thing is exactly what I was looking for: perfect size, the ease of flash memory for loading and unloading songs (just plug it into any USB port), and the speakerphone is a great idea that I would have assumed she would not use before I bought it.

Design of the bottom battery/memory cover is just bad, comes off every time and held with unit by a string, ended up cutting string and removing botton cover entirely. Only reason I got this unit was the built in speaker for my 8yo daughter. Burns through regular batteries very quickly. Because you cannot jump directly to songs, get the smallest memory model there is, your child will not be able to access 100's of songs. After two weeks, bought her a Sansa Clip, much better unit and highly recommended!



I bought this mp3 player for my 9 year old daughter. It is very easy to use and the speakers sound pretty good. The only thing that could be a problem, is that this player only accepts mp3 files and most of my daughter's cd's were in the mp4 format. You need to convert the mp4 files to mp3 files in order to play the songs. You can resolve this by downloading software that converts the files which you can do for free online. Once I converted the files, it played all the songs. Unless you want to go through the trouble of changing the files, which is isn't that hard, if you know about computers, then you should be satisfied with this product.


My 6-year old son recieved this for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. It is very easy to use for him and has a lot of fun features aimed towards kids. The size and controls are fun and not to small for his hands, and he loves being able to plug in a second set of headphones to share his music with friends or being able to listen with no headphones at all via the small speaker. I would definitely recommend this for kids probably in the 1st-4th grade age group.


I loved them. I bought 3, one in each color. The kids that I bought them for absolutely love them.....

Only one little flaw. I used a small peice of velcro to hold the bottom door closed. Other than that, it is a smash hit. The ages I bought them for were 1 - Girl age 3yrs., 1 - Boy age 3 1/2yrs., and 1 - Boy 4 1/2 yrs. old. They all can operate them with ease.....

It is a GREAT buy!


Bought this for my 5 year old son and he loves it! Doesn't like to wear headphones so this is perfect for him! Very durable and very easy to use. The only negative thing is that it doesn't shut off when not using...buy lots of batteries.
