Product Description
Using either witchcraft, fairy dust or highly gifted engineers (we're not sure which), Apple has created an iPod Shuffle of an almost impossibly small size. Only slightly bigger than a U.S. quarter, this teensy-weensy device packs 2GB of Storage space. Enough for up to 480 of your favorite songs! Apple also attached a clip to the back of the Shuffle, so you can wear it anywhere for skip-free Music playback. Perfect for working out or just walking down the street. Unit Dimensions - 1.62 x 1.07 x 0.41 (including clip) Unit Weight - 0.55 oz. Color - Silver
Bought this for my 7 year old and he loves it. I like the fact that you can limit the volume control when you plug it in to your computer, so no matter how high they feel like turning it up on the actual shuffle you have already set it to a non-deafening tone through the computer. We ended up purchasing the 2GB because we figured we still have a few years before he is a teen and wanting the latest and greatest new gadget.. What's more to say- it's not a Zume, and it's made by Apple.. That should be the major selling factors right there...
1 G iPod Shuffle (Silver) - Refurbished
This is my first ipod, but I must say, I am impressed. This thing is TINY! The clip holds onto clothing well. Compared to other Ipods 1 G is not alot - I have 5+ HOURS of music on mine, and it isn't even full yet! You get more MP3 player than you think. I'm happy with my purchase.
The iPod Shuffle plays music very well and holds lots of songs.
Only downside is the songs cannot not be put in the order that you would like the songs to be.
Great alternative to the traditional iPod.
Works well, easy to use buttons, very small and light. Does not have a screen, so guessing game on the next track.
Sound quality is reduced from 1st gen iPod shuffles, but it's still very passable. The big problem with this unit is that it comes with 2 gigs, but you'll never be able to listen to all of it for 2 reasons:
1) The playlist is reset after every charge
2) The charge doesn't last more than about 3 days (or more like 4 hours)
My previous iPod never had this issue, even the Touch got better battery life. If you're going to go for the shuffle, get the 1 gig - the 2 gig is a total waste of cash.
Perfect size, and plenty of room for lots of songs. I especially like it with matching skull candy earphones.
I've never owned an Ipod before, but I did have a generic mp3 player with limited volume control. So I had a small amount of knowledge about transferring music to an mp3 player. My only problem with this mp3 player is that the instructions do not tell you that you can only use itunes to transfer music. So to inform new users, when I first plugged it into my computer to charge the battery, I got a flashing orange light for about 10 hours. I had been using windows media player to transfer songs, and it was showing that these songs were on the ipod. When I unplugged it and turned it on, none of these songs were actually on the ipod, it would not do anything. After several hours of wasting my time, I did my research and discovered this important piece of information, downloaded itunes, and besides the fact that itunes is much slower than windows media player, I love this ipod. Once synced to itunes, it finally stopped blinking orange, turned to a green light, and started playing music. The sound quality is fantastic. For me, the simplicity is great.
I love this little thing. I finally threw out my Sony discman and upgraded to the Ipod shuffle. I was considering the Ipod Nano, but I don't need all the other features on the Nano. This unit is very basic, convienient, reliable and easy to use. The sound quality is perfect. My only complaint is the ear phones, I threw these out and bought Sony ear plugs which fit snuggly and comfortably[...]. This unit is perfect for everyday use(walking, running, biking, etc.) ***Highly recommended***
I recently purchased the Ipod shuffle, I loaded it with my CD's and so far it has worked well. The only problem so far is the ear buds do not stay in place when I walk. I push them in as far as I dare and they will not stay in place0. I still would recommend the purchase of this item.
It's my first and last Apple product. I'm moving to a Zune player. Much more rich in features.
